Cherie Tymkiw’s paintings and screenprints have been shown in galleries including solo shows at Elegant Mr. in the city of Chicago and the Union at the University of Illinois in Champaign. Her work has also been exhibited in several group shows including the Jack Olsen Gallery at Northern Illinois University, as well as nationally at Gallery RFD in Swainsboro, Georgia.
Ms. Tymkiw, recently graduated, was awarded with a full-time assistantship as well as a stipend and tuition waiver.
Cherie was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1983. She received a B.F.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign; an M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University. Her focus was always contemporary oil painting, and now her style has branched out to serigraphy and mixed media india ink paintings.
